Host your private event at our taproom in Red hook!

Our classic Brooklyn warehouse-turned-taproom has stunning views of the New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty and boasts some of the best sunsets you’ll find in the city. We’d love to host your private event where you can choose from our two options — The Hall or The Full Venue — both featuring indoor and outdoor space. Whichever you choose, our friendly and knowledgeable staff will be on hand to take care of you and your guests, pouring Strong Rope beer and featured New York State products, including wine, spirits, cider, and more.

Our brand-new private space next door to our Red Hook Taproom features a 2,700 square foot main space with an 18’ reclaimed wood bar plus a separate back-of-house area, five restrooms, a private green room, and a reserved section of our waterfront patio.

Highlights:

  • Accommodates seated events up to 120 guests, or standing room for up to 200 people

  • Available to rent by the hour for casual parties, or book out an entire day for more elaborate setups

  • Flexible to book with a cash bar and drink minimum, or opt for an open bar of our entire menu

  • Customizable furniture layout options

A buyout of our Red Hook location combines our flagship taproom and adjacent private event space, The Hall, for over 6,000 square feet of guest space, plus a 2,000 square foot patio overlooking the beautiful New York Harbor.

Highlights:

  • Accommodates seated events up to 250 guests, or standing room for more than 400 people

  • We’ll be closed to the public, so the space is yours for the day

  • A five-hour open bar featuring 100% New York State products

  • All in-house amenities, such as furniture and AV equipment

  • Bartenders and onsite venue coordinator

We are at capacity for buyouts on weekend dates in 2026; now booking through 2027!

FAQS

  • Total capacity for standing room-only events is 450 people between the Taproom and the Hall; seated capacity will depend on your event style/layout choices. 

  • Yes! We do not have a kitchen or provide any in-house catering services. Vendors will have access to a 400 sq. ft. space behind the Hall with a walk-in fridge, sink, counter space, outlets on two dedicated circuits, and a staff restroom. There are no required vendors, but we have plenty of recommendations. 

  • As a New York farm brewery, everything we serve is produced in New York State with locally-grown ingredients.

    In addition to our in-house-made Strong Rope draft beer, our menu includes a selection of wine, cider, spirits (whiskey, gin, and vodka), and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Optional add-ons include batched cocktails and sparkling wine.

  • Strong Rope Brewery provides the customizable venue and house furniture, drinks + bar glassware, Beertenders, and venue coordinator, and then we let the client take it from there! Any additional services you want for your party — such as catering, waitstaff, a day-of coordinator (highly recommended for weddings), rentals, decor and table settings, or extra staff for bussing or moving furniture — are your responsibility to arrange. 

  • We do not have on-site parking.

    We encourage guests to use public transportation (the ferry and bus both serve Red Hook), bike-share services, or ride-share services to get to the taproom. If you do drive, street parking is available and please pay attention to all posted signs. The lot at 175 Van Dyke Street is not for Strong Rope customers.

    The sky’s the limit!

  • We are a family-friendly space! Any guest under the age of 21 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All guests 21 and over must provide a valid, legal ID to be served alcohol.

  • Use of the patio is included in private party rentals (weather permitting), but not available to book on its own.

  • We accept table reservations for groups of under 50 guests. Learn more at our Reservations page.
