This month’s First Friday exhibit will feature art from our neighbors at the Red Hook Art Project (RHAP). RHAP is a non-profit organization that provides free visual art, music, academic, and stress management instruction to children and youth who live in and around Red Hook, Brooklyn.
The Red Hook Art Project Artist Collective is a dynamic group of young emerging artists from Red Hook. Their work is rooted in community engagement, storytelling, and celebrating the cultural richness of Brooklyn through art. Each piece they create reflects the lived experiences of our members, who predominantly come from historically underserved communities of color.
We'll have an array of art from some of the young people who work with RHAP up in the taproom for the months of January and February. Along with the art on display, we’ll have DJ Minister Maestro of BierWax spinning tunes this Friday for the opening. Come take in the art and enjoy the music on the waterfront!
