First Fridays return to Gowanus! Monday night trivia host and Acoustic Brunch Live! musician Dan Levine presents the photography of his great-grandfather Sam Friedman.

Levine unearthed his great-grandfather's 35mm slides during the 2020 shutdown and began digitizing thousands of slides encompassing family parties, community events, vacations across the world, American landmarks, and Friedman’s unique creations with manual exposure and light.

Friedman’s photography will be on display all June long and you can follow along with Levine’s work preserving these images on Instagram @slidesfrompapa.
