Award-wining chef Louise Leonard and Strong Rope Head Brewer Jason Sahler are at it again...Join us for a family style meal and beer pairing celebrating summer!
From Chef Louise:
Hey there Brooklyn, who's ready for summer?
I'm sitting here in my apartment in Los Angeles during May Gray, soon to be followed by June Gloom (yes, they're a thing. Believe it or not, it's not perpetually sunny in Southern California!) and I'm thinking about how exciting summertime is, especially in the food world, and especially in Brooklyn. Stoop season is on, bike riding gets even better, the farmer's markets get poppin' and outdoor drinking commences. So to celebrate the beginning of summer, I'm throwing down a VEGETARIAN feast with all the beautiful green market goodies that NY state offers that time of year. Because I'm going to keep this meal super duper local and seasonal, I won't know the details of my dishes until I see what's at the farmer's market. What I will tell you is that I'm bringing to you a LA-inspired, Endless Summer Veg Fest that crosses many borders. There will certainly be bright, bold colors and flavors in the form of empanadas, tostadas, spicy fried rice, my favorite bean purveyors, Rancho Gordo and much more. Dirty meat eaters, fear not, I assure you this is no hippie-dippie dinner (no fake meat or lentil loaf here!), but rather a celebration of summertime fruits and vegetables.
From Brewer Jason::
We will be having a great lineup of beers to accompany this amazing summer farmers market feast. Expect some light session ales, bright IPAs and our first seasonal for 2017. It will be a veritable smorgasberg of fresh malt and hops.
$75 gets you a 4-course meal plus beer pairing. Get your tickets here, cheers!
Here are some photos from our last dinner, doesn't it look delicious?! Thanks Arielle for the photos!
