You may have noticed that the header to this site now sports Strong Rope's greatest and latest logo. Thanks to my wife for the hard work and the incessant nagging from me about a new logo, "When's it going to be ready", "Can your work on the logo", "Yeah I guess that's pretty good".
She has done a wonderful job in bringing some life to the Strong Rope design.
You may have also noticed that there seems to be a little carrot in the middle of the design right above the tag line "Living Ales". I guess that might need a little explanation.
That "carrot" is actually an ancient Sumerian cuneiform (think pictograph) for beer. It is my way of honoring brewing history and all those great brewers that have come before. It also ties into Living Ales in that beer and brewing culture is an evolving art form and something that we need remember. It is great to move forward and push the boundaries of what beer is, but at the same time we need to try and understand where we have come from.
Check out the below video to see more about the cuneiform and for a nice history of beer and why it is THE most important thing to ever happen in the world, ever. I tend to agree.
